The most important boots in all the world

This short piece formed part of the Queer Stories Workshop Showcase for emerging artists at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in April 2022, presented in association with Creative Scotland and bogha-frois (Queer Voices in Folk). I was very lucky to share the stage with a fantastic array of up-and-coming storytellers and folk musicians.

Taking the form of a traditional folk tale and touching on themes of grief, acceptance and belonging, this piece tells the story of how I found just the right boots for my father's funeral.
